SYNOPSIS

Star is a 1982 Indian Bollywood movie, directed by Vinod Pande, starring Kumar Gaurav, Rati Agnihotri, Raj Kiran, Saeed Jaffrey, A.K. Hangal, Dina Pathak and Padmini Kolhapure.

Plot: Being from a middle-class household, Dev Kumar Verma needs to work to help his parents. Dev, on the other hand, is determined to become as famous as Elvis Presley.

To the chagrin of his brother Shiv Kumar Verma and his parents, he loses his job as a result and refuses to work until he finds a career that suits him. Dev meets and falls in love with Maya at Charlie's Disco, where he works.

When Rana, Charlie's Disco's rival, learns about Dev, he wants to hire him, but Dev chooses to stay at Charlie's Disco. Dev is unable to sing as a result of Rana's goons beating him and Charlie.

Dev is horrified to learn that Maya and Shiv are in love after he has recovered.
