The wait is finally over! Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s ‘Fighter’, marking their first collaboration, has been released in theatres today. The new Hindi movie, directed by Siddharth Anand of ‘War’ and ‘Pathaan’ fame, also stars Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, and Sanjeeda Shaikh. ‘Fighter’, touted as India’s first aerial action film, brings a patriotic flavour to the big screen and will enjoy an extended Republic Day weekend. Are you planning to watch the film and curious about the initial reviews? You have stumbled upon the right article as we have put together the early reactions to ‘Fighter’.

With the release of ‘Fighter’, several movie buffs flocked to cinemas and flooded social media with their reactions to the Siddharth Anand directorial. Several fans are already calling the movie a “blockbuster” and a “must-watch”. Many of them have also praised Hrithik Roshan’s performance, terming it “spectacular”.

Without further ado, check out some of the reactions to ‘Fighter’:

As per industry tracker Sacnilk, ‘Fighter’ has managed to sell more than 2.7 lakh tickets for the opening day, grossing Rs 8.40 crore.

The breakdown includes 1,25,868 tickets for the 2D Hindi version, 1,38,503 tickets for the 3D version, 10,119 tickets for IMAX 3D action, and 3,793 tickets for the 4DX 3D experience.

‘Fighter’, presented by Viacom18 Studios in association with Marflix Pictures, is the third collaboration between Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Anand after ‘Bang Bang’ and ‘War’. The new Hindi movie is also the third collaboration between Deepika Padukone and Siddharth Anand after ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ and ‘Pathaan’.

Earlier, Siddharth Anand admitted that the success of ‘Pathaan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, has set the bar too high for him and he is indeed feeling the “pressure of the expectations” from his audience.

It remains to be seen whether the movie manages to create the same magic as Siddharth Anand’s last release ‘Pathaan’.
