“What If You Are…”: Janhvi Kapoor's Viral Response As Fan Asks Her Out On A Date
During an AMA session on Reddit, one fan ended up asking Janhvi Kapoor out on a date, her response to it has gone viral on social media.
Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor is currently busy promoting her upcoming Hindi film ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’, co-starring Rajkummar Rao. ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’, which is slated to be released in cinemas on Friday, May 31, marks the second collaboration between Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao after the 2021 Hindi movie ‘Roohi’. Ahead of the new Hindi movie’s release, Janhvi Kapoor recently conducted an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Reddit. During this particular session, one fan ended up asking Janhvi Kapoor out on a date.
The Redditor asked, “Can we go on a date? It would be a cool story.”
Janhvi Kapoor, however, shut down the fan's idea and said, “What if you are an axe murderer?”
During the session, one fan also asked the Bollywood actress whether she visits Reddit often and is she aware of any of the criticism that’s directed towards her on the platform.
Replying to this, Janhvi Kapoor said that while she had heard of Reddit “theories”, it has always “scared” her a bit.
She also said that the scrutiny on Reddit can get a little “extreme”. Janhvi Kapoor even revealed that her sister Khushi Kapoor is an active Reddit user.
“Honestly, I feel like I’ve fleetingly heard, like, threads, I think, like, threads and theories on Reddit, and it’s always kind of scared me a little bit. The scrutiny, I guess, on Reddit, it seems a bit extreme,” she said.
“I think my sister’s quite in sync and hooked on to what’s going on Reddit, and sometimes I’ll ask her what the tea is on Reddit, but I myself don’t. I mean, I don’t know how, I think I tried once, but I just couldn’t understand how to, like, see what the threads are, all of these things. But no, I think I want to protect myself from it a bit,” she added.
Janhvi Kapoor's AMA session on Reddit was also targeted by trolls, who ended up down voting many of the questions she answered.
The platform also saw several trolls asking some unsavoury questions, and they had to be removed by the moderator.
Speaking of 'Mr & Mrs Mahi', the new Hindi movie is backed by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta.
Apart from ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’, Janhvi Kapoor will be seen in ‘Ulajh’, which will hit the theatres on July 5. She will also mark her Telugu debut with ‘Devara: Part 1’, co-starring Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan.
She also has ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ alongside Varun Dhawan in the pipeline. Janhvi Kapoor will also be seen opposite Ram Charan in his next untitled film.
