There’s something irresistible about Bollywood events – where fashion meets spontaneity and stars often end up creating viral moments without planning to. That’s exactly what happened when Indian actresses Rashmika Mandanna and Malaika Arora graced the launch of their song ‘Poison Baby’ from the upcoming film ‘Thamma’ in Mumbai. The duo didn’t just turn heads with their stunning looks but also stole the spotlight with an impromptu dance performance that lit up the event and sent social media buzzing.

Held on Monday, the event saw a packed audience cheering as Rashmika and Malaika broke into an energetic performance to ‘Poison Baby’. The clip showed the duo matching steps and sharing a fun moment, complete with thumkas and infectious smiles. Their chemistry and confidence lit up the launch event, earning loud applause from everyone present.

Malaika Arora looked every bit the showstopper in an ivory co-ord set that featured a full-sleeved cropped blouse embellished with delicate sequins and paired with a sleek, high-waisted skirt. Her look was complemented with minimal accessories, soft curls, and a statement waist chain that highlighted her toned frame.

Rashmika Mandanna exuded charm in a black voluminous lehenga, featuring a floral print along the hemline and a bralette-style blouse with sheer sleeves. A matching printed dupatta completed her ensemble, striking a balance between traditional grace and modern glamour.

The song ‘Poison Baby’, sung by Jasmine Sandlas, Sachin-Jigar, and Divya Kumar, brings a high-energy vibe that perfectly matched the duo’s dance performance. However, reactions online were divided. While many fans applauded Rashmika and Malaika’s enthusiasm and effortless camaraderie, some found the dance slightly over-the-top, suggesting it seemed orchestrated for attention.

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, ‘Thamma’ is the fifth instalment in Maddock Films’ hit horror-comedy universe, following ‘Stree’ (2018), ‘Bhediya’ (2022), ‘Munjya’ and ‘Stree 2’ (both 2024). The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana as a man who unexpectedly turns into a vampire, with Rashmika playing his love interest.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui essays the antagonist in what’s described as a “bloody love story.” Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, ‘Thamma’ is slated for a festive release this Diwali, on October 21.
