Over the years, Ranveer Singh has given many memorable performances, however his greatest performance is arguably in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat', where he played the role of the main antagonist Alauddin Khilji. After the movie released, and emerged as a big box-office hit, the actor had described the role as "risky", and he had even said that he had to "tap into dark experiences" of his life to prepare for the role.

In the latest entertainment news, actor Prashant Narayanan who played the villain in Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandez-starrer 'Murder 2', has given his take on the comments made by Ranveer Singh, and he even said that the 'Gully Boy' actor is not a "mindblowing" performer so he should stop lying.

"Wo jhooth bol raha hai kyunki wo koi aisa mindblowing actor nahi hai. Ya wo koi aisa mindblowing role nahi hai ki jahan pe aapko koi itna karna pad raha hai. Nahi yaar bhai, tu apna set pe aa, tera makeup hoga achhe se. Dil se bas kaam kar, ye dark spaces me jana ya ye sab karna, ye sab bakwas ki baatein hai," Prashant Narayanan told journalist Siddharth Kannan.

"Kahi na kahi justify to karna padega na, itne saare crore rupees mil rahe hai. Arre nahi nahi me toh 2 mahine itna serious tha, arre kyun serious tha? Hospital me tha kya? Kyun serious tha bhai, maine kaise kaise roles karliye yaar, mujhe to hassi aati hai jab log bolte hai," he added.

One user commented, "How does this guy know what RS did or didn't do? Ppl are so weird."

"Not a fan of Ranveer, but he is not a non actor. He had some great performances. He might have lied to get attention and all that but the way they are talking and laughing about him is very distasteful," commented one user.

"I’m sorry but he deserves all the shame in the world for comparing his role as Khilji to Heath Ledger as the Joker. The Joker is popular because he kinda had a point, insane as he was - for instance pitting death row criminals against working people to see who was more willing to let the other die a gruesome death. Or burning a mountain of money. It was a fricking social experiment that’s relatable for many growing up," wrote one user.

"Finally someone talking sense," wrote one user.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh was last seen alongside Alia Bhatt in Karan Johar's 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani'.

Ranveer Singh is set to appear in Rohit Shetty’s multi-starrer ‘Singham Again’ and Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don 3’.
