Actress Poonam Pandey is no stranger to controversies. Earlier this year, Poonam Pandey "faked" her own death in order to create "awareness" about cervical cancer. This publicity gimmick did not go down well with netizens and several celebrities, and Poonam Pandey was bashed on the internet. However, this was not the first time that Poonam Pandey made headlines for the wrong reasons. There was a time when a bathroom video of the actress was leaked on social media.
In the viral video clip, Poonam Pandey was seen dancing while taking a shower. In the latest entertainment news, Poonam Pandey has now revealed that this video was leaked by her former boyfriend.
Poonam Pandey has claimed that the video was posted online by one of her former boyfriends.
"I still remember and I will never forget. We were indulged in a physical fight and I had to save myself. He picked up a trimmer and he wanted to trim my hair. So somehow, I managed to grab that. I somehow ran out of the room but I forgot to take my phone because I had to save myself," Poonam told Hauterrfly.
"Then, I reached home. I spoke to my dad. I told him what all was happening and obviously, he saw me crying. He called the guy and said, ‘Kya kar raha hai tu mere bete ke saath?’,” she added.
Poonam Pandey also recalled how her then-boyfriend threatened to leak her video.
“He spoke to me from my dad’s phone and said ‘if you don’t come back, I will post a video on your Instagram page’. I am like, ‘I am not coming back’. He said, ‘You don’t believe me’. I swear on god, I never thought he would do that. I thought he would not stoop this low. You may be a beast but at least, you will have the decency that I am your girlfriend. He posted it,” she said.
Poonam then talked about the “worst” thing that happened after the video was leaked.
“The worst part. After him posting that video, he was getting calls from his guy friends, ‘tu toh rockstar hai boss’, ‘tu toh hero ban gaya’, while I was going through this mess,” she said.
For the unversed, Poonam Pandey is a popular model, and she first gained fame when she promised that she would strip if India ends up winning the final of 2011 Cricket World Cup.
On the work front, Poonam Pandey was last seen in the first season of Kangana Ranaut-hosted show 'Lock Upp'.
