To make the celebrations a little more grander, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) organised an open-bus parade from Marine Drive to Wankhede Stadium, and then a felicitation progamme was also held.

Sharing video originally shared by the Indian Cricket Team, Vicky Kaushal and Ayushmann Khurrana on Instagram Stories wrote, "Welcome home champions,” and “Welcome home boys,” respectively.
Ananya Panday reposted the video shared by the Indian Cricket Team on Instagram Stories without any captain.
Speaking of the felicitation programme at Wankhede Stadium, the T20 World Cup winning team was given a cash prize of Rs 125 crore by the BCCI.
Rohit Sharma, Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah also gave speeches, and the entire Wankhede Stadium came to a standstill.
On Thursday morning, the T20 World Cup-winning team also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi.
Team India defeated South Africa in the finals of the T20 World Cup on Saturday, and as a result, the side won an ICC event after a gap of 11 years. The team also won the T20 World Cup for the second time, after 2007.
Team India was stuck in Barbados for more than two days because of Hurricane Beryl, and the team finally departed for Delhi on Wednesday morning.
After the T20 World Cup win, the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja announced their retirement from T20Is.
