As per industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Shaitaan' sold 1,76,875 tickets for the opening day, grossing Rs 4.14 crore. The new Hindi film sold 81,500 tickets at national chains, and now it needs to be seen whether the film manages to register a double-digit opening or not.
Speaking of 'Shaitaan', the new Hindi film has been produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak under the banners of Devgn Films, Jio Studios, and Panorama Studios.
The plot of the film revolves around a happy family and how their lives take a turn for the worse after meeting a mysterious man. The family soon realises that they are in danger and they must fight for their survival.
Apart from 'Shaitaan', Ajay Devgn will also be seen in 'Maidaan', which will be clashing with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan'.
The trailer for 'Maidaan' was unveiled on Thursday afternoon, and the film promises to be an inspiring tale of the "golden years of Indian football."
