Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are now married. And the first pictures of the newlyweds are out!
At last, the wait is over! The first photos of Bollywood stars Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal as a married couple are out. Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot on Sunday. Ever since the news of their wedding broke, fans were eagerly waiting to see the wedding pictures of Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal. Having looked at the pictures, we can safely say that the wait was absolutely worth it.
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married as per the Special Marriage Act, 1954. As per several reports, the duo had given the mandatory one-month notice to the marriage registrar.
"On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each other's eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife. Here’s to love, hope, and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever," Sonakshi wrote on Instagram.

Earlier this week, Zaheer Iqbal's father Iqbal Ratansi said that Sonakshi and Zaheer would be having a civil marriage, adding that Sonakshi would not be converting to Islam.
Speaking to Free Press Journal, Zaheer Iqbal's father said, "It will have neither Hindu nor Muslim rituals. It will be a civil marriage."
“She is not converting and that is for sure. Theirs is a union of hearts and religion has no role to play whatsoever," he added.
Speaking further, he said, "“I believe in humanity. God is called Bhagwan by Hindus and Allah by Muslims. But at the end of the day, we are all human beings. My blessings are with Zaheer and Sonakshi."
A few days ago, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding invite was leaked online. The wedding invite also included an audio which featured a sweet message from Sonakshi and Zaheer.
Veteran Indian actress Poonam Dhillon recently confirmed receiving an invitation and extended her best wishes to the couple. Rapper Honey Singh also extended wishes to the celebrity couple.
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal have been rumoured to be dating since 2020. They had shared screen space in the 2022 film ‘Double XL’. They also featured in the music video ‘Blockbuster’ last year.
