The Academy Shares Deepika Padukone’s ‘Deewani Mastani’ Song Clip, Ranveer Singh’s Reaction Is Unmissable
Deepika Padukone's uber-popular song ‘Deewani Mastani’ from ‘Bajirao Mastani’ has been featured on the official Instagram page of The Academy.
Actress Deepika Padukone, who made her Bollywood debut in Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’, has delivered several memorable performances in films like ‘Cocktail’, ‘Piku’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Padmaavat’ and more. She has also featured in some iconic Bollywood songs including the uber-popular track ‘Deewani Mastani’. Recently, the hit ‘Bajirao Mastani’ song featured on the official Instagram page of The Academy. For the unversed, the film was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and also starred Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the lead roles.
Speaking of ‘Deewani Mastani’, the track has been sung by Shreya Ghoshal. Upon its release, it became one of the biggest chartbusters.
Sharing a clip of Deepika Padukone’s performance on the song, The Academy wrote on Instagram, “Deepika Padukone performing “Deewani Mastani” (sung by Shreya Ghoshal) from the movie ‘Bajirao Mastani.’ Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.”
Ranveer Singh took to the comments section of the post to praise his wife Deepika Padukone. “Mesmeric,” he commented.

For the unversed, Deepika Padukone was one of the presenters at the last year's Oscars. The actress had introduced the track ‘Naatu Naatu’ from SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’.
“It’s earned millions of views on YouTube and TikTok. Has audiences dancing in movie theatres all around the world and is also the first song ever from Indian production to be nominated for an Oscar. Do you know Naatu? Because if you don’t you’re about to. From the film RRR this is Naatu Naatu,” said Deepika Padukone while introducing the song.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh had recently confirmed their pregnancy. The couple took to Instagram to share a poster with "September 2024" written on it.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika Padukone was last seen in Siddharth Anand’s ‘Fighter’ alongside Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi.
She will next star in Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan.
The Bollywood actress will also star in ‘Singham Again’, alongside Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff and Arjun Kapoor.
Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’ is slated to release in theatres on August 15, 2024.
