In the stunning photos, Alia Bhatt struck some captivating poses as she showed off her ethnic avatar in a beautiful handwoven saree that is approximately 160 years old.
The pure silk wonder was taken from the archives of the ace designer Manish Malhotra’s brand. The fuchsia pink Ashavali saree came adorned with a real zari border, 99 per cent pure silver and about 6 grams of gold.
Giving the saree a modern twist, Alia Bhatt wore the saree with a strapless bustier blouse. Alia styled the ensemble with a gold and emerald choker necklace, jhumkis, a mang tika, and kadhas.
She rounded off the look with a gajra-adorned centre-parted bun, well-darkened and shaped eyebrows, subtle shimmery eyeshadow, kohl-lined eyes, mascara-laden lashes, beaming highlighter and a nude pink lip shade.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia Bhatt will be next seen in Vasan Bala’s upcoming directorial venture ‘Jigra’. The movie will also feature Vedang Raina who made his acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s 2023 movie ‘The Archies’.
‘Jigra’ is produced by Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra. It will release in cinemas on October 11, 2024.
Apart from ‘Jigra’, Alia Bhatt will also feature in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’. The film will also star Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
She also has Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ in the pipeline. The upcoming movie will also star Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Katrina Kaif.
