In the stunning photos, Deepika Padukone struck some captivating poses as she showed off her desi avatar in a stunning red gharchola saree from Rimple & Harpreet.
For the unversed, gharcholas originate from the Khambat region of Gujarat and hold a deep-rooted significance in Gujarati wedding customs. Gharcholas, typically made from silk or gaji silk, are known for their exquisite look, sheen and durability.
Deepika Padukone's saree was a deep red shade from the designer's 'The Rose and The Nightingale’ collection. The saree featured handloom benarasi zari weave with Bhandej pattern. The drape came adorned with a fusion of embroidery techniques such as kasab-dori, marodi, dabka, naqshi, resham, sequins, and pearls.
The saree’s pallu featured motifs inspired by Mughal artwork, while Deepika Padukone’s blouse featured similar embroidery as the saree. The blouse also came with cap sleeves, a high neckline, fitted silhouette and tiny bead droplets at the edge.
Deepika Padukone accessorised the ensemble with diamond-studded earrings and a necklace. She styled her hair in a sleek bun, accentuated with a malli poo tied around it.
For her makeup, the Bollywood actress went with well-shaped eyebrows, subtle eyeshadow, winged eyeliner, blushed cheekbones, beaming highlighter and nude brown lip shade.
