For this look, Kajol wore an archival black chenille saree featuring intricate zardozi hand embroidery – a hallmark of Manish Malhotra’s signature opulence.
The black fabric exuded a luxurious finish that glowed under warm lighting. The ornate golden embroidery framed the border with regal flourishes, adding a decadent edge to the flowing silhouette. The pallu and pleats both bore grand motifs reminiscent of Mughal architecture, making this saree more than just a garment.
Paired with a sleeveless black blouse that echoed the same grandeur with its back embroidery, the overall look was steeped in vintage charm with a contemporary edge. The blouse’s high-neck cut and structured shape gave the ensemble a sense of restraint, letting the embroidery do all the talking.
Accessories were minimal yet striking – Kajol chose a pair of bold, circular diamond-studded earrings with floral detailing, allowing them to peek through her updo. A single rose in her hand in one frame further elevated the vintage storytelling.
Her beauty look featured a bold red lip – a classic move that never fails on her – and a clean, contoured base. Her eyes were defined with deep kohl and softly blended eyeshadow, adding intensity without overpowering the look.
Kajol’s hair was styled in a retro-inspired side-parted bun with soft waves at the front, which added to the regal silhouette.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kajol was last seen in ‘Do Patti’ alongside Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh. She will next appear in the mythological horror film ‘Maa’. The movie’s trailer was unveiled by Kajol earlier today.
