In the gorgeous photos and video, Kareena Kapoor rocked a special recreation of the ‘Modern India’ saree from Tarun Tahiliani's 17-year-old collection. The corset saree is inspired by another similar-looking saree from the 2008 collection.
The pre-draped satin-silk saree featured embellished gold borders decked with delicate zardozi work and shimmering sequin adornments. The pleated pallu, draped on the shoulder, cascaded to the back in a floor-grazing hem length.
To elevate her look further, Kareena Kapoor paired the saree with a matching silk overlay, which she draped on her arms that featured embellished borders, an open front, and a long train at the back.
The Bollywood actress completed her saree look with a corset blouse featuring delicate zardozi work, a split square neckline, broad straps, a sheer silhouette on the back with ribbon ties to cinch the blouse, and an asymmetric hemline.
Kareena Kapoor chose gold jewels adorned with contrasting emerald gemstones to accessorise her head-turning ethnic ensemble. She wore a choker necklace, matching earrings, rings, and a statement kadha.
The Bollywood actress tied her tresses in a sleek bun. For makeup, she went with feathered brows, rose gold eye shadow, mascara-coated lashes, winged eyeliner, blushed cheeks, beaming highlighter and nude pink lips. A red bindi added the perfect finishing touch to her look.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan last featured in Rohit Shetty's ‘Singham Again’. The movie, co-starring Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar, minted over Rs 240 crore in India.
The film was released in cinemas on November 1 last year, clashing with Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.
