Charlie Puth paid an emotional tribute to 'Friends' actor Matthew Perry during his concert in Melbourne, Australia.

The world continues to mourn the demise of actor Matthew Perry, who is famous for playing the iconic role of Chandler Bing in uber-popular sitcom 'Friends'. In the latest entertainment news, singer-songwriter Charlie Puth has paid an emotional tribute to the 'Friends' actor during his concert in Melbourne, Australia. During his concert, Charlie Puth sang the 'Friends' theme song 'I'll Be There For You' as well as the 'See You Again' track.

In his tribute, Charlie played a piano version of the 'Friends' theme song 'I'll be there for You' in his concert on Sunday. 

Before singing, he said, "I want to dedicate this song to another song, and if it makes you think of a person, that's who it's dedicated to. Does this mean anything to you?"

Sharing a video on X (formerly Twitter), the handle named Buzzing Pop wrote, "Charlie Puth honors late Matthew Perry during his Melbourne performance."

For the unversed, Matthew Perry was found dead in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home on Saturday. 

Speaking with People Magazine, Matthew's family members said, "We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother. Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend. You all meant so much to him and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love."

For the unversed, Perry had gained worldwide recognition for his role as Chandler Bing on 'Friends'.

'Friends' ran for ten seasons from 1994 to 2004. He had also earned an Emmy nomination in 2002 for his performance. 

As per Variety, Perry grappled with a long struggle with substance abuse and it stunted his career. 

Apart from 'Friends', Matthew Perry starred in projects like 'Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip', 'Go On','Mr. Sunshine' and a remake of Neil Simon’s enduring 'The Odd Couple'. 

Perry had also scored two Emmy nominations in 2003 and 2004 for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Joe Quincy in 'The West Wing'.
