Happy days as Eminem is coming out with a new album!

'Rap God' Eminem has finally announced his 12th studio album, 'The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grace)'. The rapper made the announcement shortly after making an appearance at the NFL Draft. Eminem has also confirmed that the album will be releasing this summer, as per Variety. A trailer for the album has also hit the internet, and the clip showcases a crime reporter discussing the death of Eminem's alter ego, Slim Shady.

Watch the trailer here:

"Through his complex and oft-criticized, tongue-twisting rhymes, the anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies,” the reporter says,

Eminem's friend 50 Cent then shows up, and says, "He’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath."

The reporter then says, "The same rude lyrics and controversial antics may have ultimately led to his demise. Join me as we recreate the events that led to the murder of Slim Shady.”

It is then that Eminem makes an appearance, saying, "I knew it was only a matter of time for Slim.”

For the unversed, Eminem last released his album in 2020, and it was titled 'Music to Be Murdered By'. The album also featured the hit track 'Godzilla', featuring Juice WRLD.

Slim Shady has been a long time alter ego for Eminem, dating back to 1997's 'Slim Shady EP', and 'The Slim Shady LP'.

The character has been used by the rapper to deliver aggressive lyrics, and it is because of this, that Eminem got branded as a controversial rapper at the beginning of his career.

Eminem has assumed this alter ego in tracks like 'Guilty Conscience', 'Kill You', and '97 Bonnie and Clyde'.
