'Fast X' box-office report: The Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa and John Cena-starrer has emerged as the biggest Hollywood opener of 2023 in India.
It will be no surprise when we tell you that the 'Fast and Furious' franchise enjoys a massive fanbase in India. The latest installment of the franchise named 'Fast X' is recording great numbers in terms of box office collection in India and within four days of its release, the Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa and John Cena-starrer has emerged as the biggest Hollywood opener in India in 2023 so far. As per industry tracker Sacnilk's early estimates, 'Fast X' earned Rs 7 crore on Monday, and hence the total collection of four days stands at Rs 66.75 crore.
'Fast X' is also expected to cross the lifetime collection of Salman Khan-starrer 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' by the end of this week. For the unversed, the Farhad Samji-directorial had earned Rs 109.29 crore.
'Fast X' also has no competition when it comes to other Hollywood movies in India, and the only competition is in the form of Adah Sharma-starrer 'The Kerala Story'.
It is important to mention that 'Fast X' has been panned by the critics. However, the new Hollywood movie has already zoomed past the USD 320 million mark globally, reported the Hollywood Reporter.
'Fast X' has Jason Momoa and Brie Larson as new additions to the movie. In the new Hollywood movie, Jason Momoa, will be playing a villain named Dante while Brie Larson would be playing a character named Tess.
Other newcomers to the franchise include Michael Rooker, Daniela Melchior, Alan Ritchson and Rita Moreno.
The likes of Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang and Scott Eastwood would be returning for 'Fast X'.
The other cast members for the new Hollywood movie are Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw, John Cena’s Jakob Toretto, Helen Mirren’s Magdalene 'Queenie' Ellmanson-Shaw and Charlize Theron’s Cipher.
The biggest hit from 'Fast and Furious' movies in India was 'Fast 7' which also starred the late Paul Walker. 'Fast 7' had earned Rs 108 crore in India.
