It is something that will wake us up in the middle of the night, leaving us in cold sweat and hoping that we never encounter such a fate. But American actress Jennifer Lawrence recently showed us how to handle a wardrobe malfunction like a pro. The 33-year-old actress, known for her relatable reactions and amazing sense of humour, recently attended the Dior Carousel of Dreams at Saks opening on Fifth Avenue.
Jennifer Lawrence, who is a long-time Dior ambassador, experienced a wardrobe malfunction while introducing the 2023 Saks Fifth Avenue Light Show. How did she handle it, you ask? Well, the American actress laughed it off and confidently continued speaking.
She was standing on stage along with Saks CEO Marc Metrick and the CEO of Christian Dior, Delphine Arnault when the wardrobe malfunction happened. Just as she began her speech, Jennifer Lawrence’s belt popped off of her black coat. Taking to Instagram, Entertainment Tonight posted a video of Jennifer Lawrence masterfully handling the situation.

In the video, Jennifer Lawrence can be seen covering her mouth with her hands before saying, “I’m so sorry that was so loud and my belt popped off.”
But like a pro that she is, the Oscar-winning actress continued with ease and confidence, giving us all the motivation to overcome embarrassing and awkward situations.
“I’ve had the honour of being a part of the Dior family for quite some time now. Looking around, this feels like the perfect place to celebrate the holidays,” Jennifer Lawrence said while introducing the spectacular light show, which also included fireworks.
For the event, Jennifer Lawrence wore a white button-up shirt, pleated black skirt, a black coat and belt. She styled her outfit with a pair of heeled scrunch boots.
The American actress further accessorised her look with a silver chain bracelet, stud earrings and a black leather headband that went perfectly well with her straight blonde locks.
In addition to Jennifer Lawrence, the guest list included Rachel Zegler, Alexandra Daddario, Maya Hawke, Tracee Ellis Ross and more celebrities.
Jennifer Lawrence has served as an ambassador for Dior since 2012, first appearing in an accessories campaign for the French fashion house in 2013. She then appeared in a beauty campaign promoting Dior Addict Lipstick in 2015.
