Kevin Jonas has revealed that he has been diagnosed with skin cancer.

Singer and songwriter Kevin Jonas has revealed that he has been diagnosed with skin cancer. In the latest entertainment news, Kevin Jonas shared a video on social media, revealing that he recently underwent surgery to remove skin cancer. Taking to Instagram, Kevin Jonas shared a video of himself at a medical facility before and after the procedure. The video begins with Kevin Jonas lying down for the selfie video. "So today I am getting a basal cell carcinoma removed from my head," said Kevin Jonas.

"Yes, that is an actual little skin cancer guy that started to grow, and now I have to get surgery to remove it," he added.

He captioned the post as, "Friendly reminder to get your moles checked."

US organisation Skin Cancer Foundation in the comments section wrote, “Thank you for raising awareness. Early detection is key.”

For the unversed, Basal cell carcinoma is a form of skin cancer that originates in the basal cells. These cells which are found within the skin, are responsible for producing new skin cells as the old ones die off.

Speaking of Kevin Jonas, the singer achieved fame in the late 2000s alongside his brothers Joe and Nick. 

The brothers scored US No. 1 albums in 2008 and 2009. The Jonas Brothers went on a hiatus in 2012, but they made a comeback in 2019.

Kevin Jonas is married with two children. In 2022, he and his wife Danielle also published a children's book, 'There’s a Rock Concert in My Bedroom'.
