Viewers have been obsessing over Netflix's insanely popular series, ‘Bridgerton’, ever since it dropped in 2020. The show became an instant hit on the streaming platform owing to the crackling chemistry between the lead pairs in the first two seasons. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the third season of ‘Bridgerton’ to arrive on Netflix, and they finally have a reason to rejoice as the premiere date of ‘Bridgerton 3’ has been revealed. The romantic period drama is returning to Netflix in 2024, with the third season set for release in two parts.

The first part will premiere on May 16, while the second one will start streaming from June 13. The official Instagram page of ‘Bridgerton’ shared an announcement video revealing the release date. The caption of the post read, “Rejoice in this most thrilling news. BRIDGERTON season 3 shall debut in two parts: part 1 on may 16th and part 2 on june 13th.”

Along with the announcement, Netflix released a video stitching together previously seen footage with TikToks and social media posts from fans eager to watch the show.

The third season of ‘Bridgerton’ will jump right into Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton’s (Luke Newton) romance.

Meanwhile, Penelope Featherington will also have to deal with her rift with Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie).

‘Bridgerton’, which is shot in London, is executive produced by Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica and Van Dusen. Jess Brownell took over show running duties after Chris Van Dusen exited.

The cast of the show also includes Luke Thompson (Benedict Bridgerton), Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), Ruth Gemmell (Violet Bridgerton), Lorraine Ashbourne (Mrs. Varley), Hannah Dodd (Francesca Bridgerton), Simone Ashley (Kate Sharma), Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton), Harriet Cains (Philipa Featherington), Bessie Carter (Prudence Featherington), Jessica Madsen (Cressida Cowper), Florence Hunt (Hyacinth Bridgerton), Martins Imhangbe (Will Mondrich), Will Tilston (Gregory Bridgerton), Polly Walker (Portia Featherington) and Julie Andrews (Lady Whistledown).

Based on author Julia Quinn's book series, ‘Bridgerton’ follows the esteemed families of British high society and their romantic pursuits through the lens of a mysterious gossip columnist, Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews).

The first season of the romantic period drama focused on the steamy courtship between Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings (Rege-Jean Page).

The second season was based on the sequel of Julia Quinn's romance series, ‘The Viscount Who Loved Me’, which follows the quest of Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) to find his viscountess. He found love in Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley).
