The biggest night of the Hollywood awards season -- Oscars, were held on Monday morning, and it is fair to say, everything about the 96th Academy Awards has gotten the internet talking. Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' swept the awards night as it won in seven major categories. Cillian Murphy won Best Actor while Nolan took home the Best Director accolade. Robert Downey Jr won his first Oscar as he ended up winning the Best Supporting Actor. Emma Stone won Best Actress for her performance in 'Poor Things'.
While the Oscars 2024 were filled with several memorable moments such as Ryan Gosling performing 'I'm Just Ken', John Cena appearing naked on stage to give away Best Costume Design, and Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling joking about the 'Barbenheimer' rivalry.
However, one cannot deny that the award ceremony was also filled with several embarrassing and awkward moments.

'Poor Things' actress Emma Stone was seemingly not pleased with Jimmy Kimmel's joke about the movie. During his opening monologue, Jimmy Kimmel took a jibe at various love-making scenes in the film. The camera immediately cut to Emma Stone, who seemingly turned to her husband, director Dave McCary. The internet thinks that the actress mouthed, "What a p***k."

Lukewarm response to Jimmy Kimmel's opening monologue
Jimmy Kimmel has always had a smashing response to his Oscars hosting gigs. However, it is fair to say that the 2024 Oscars did not see a great amount of applause for the comedian. At one stage, Jimmy Kimmel joked about Robert Downey Jr's drug addiction. "Congratulations to Robert Downey Jr. This is the highest point of Robert Downey Jr.'s career, well, one of the highest points."
Robert Downey Jr took this comment as a good sport, however, there was tense laughter in the room. As Robert Downey Jr tapped his nose, Jimmy continued, saying, "Was that too on the nose, or was that a drug motion you made?"

Liza Koshy falls on the red carpet
On the red carpet for Oscars 2024, actress Liza Koshy fell. As she was moving down the red carpet, Liza Koshy lost her footing, and as a result, she took a massive tumble. However, she was a good sport throughout, and she kept laughing.

Kirsten Dunst trips and bumps into Oscars 2024 statue
Kirsten Dunst was walking on the red carpet while looking back at her husband Jesse Plemons. As she held out her arm to pose with her man, she ended up tripping. She found herself in the arms of someone else -- the life-size Oscars statue. However, the statue ended up catching her, preventing her from falling.

Emma Stone suffers wardrobe malfunction before her big Oscars win
Emma Stone suffered a wardrobe malfunction before her big Best Actress win. "My dress is broken," said Emma Stone before giving her acceptance speech. The wardrobe malfunction seemed to be a broken zipper or seam on the back of her Louis Vuitton gown.

"I think it happened during ‘I’m Just Ken,’” she said, referencing Ryan Gosling’s performance of his song from the “Barbie” movie, and some dance movies she would have indulged in.
After the award ceremony, Emma Stone told reporters, "I was so amazed by Ryan and what he was doing, and that number just blew my mind. They sewed me back in, which was wonderful."
