The nominations will be announced by actors Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid from the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles. For the unversed, the nominations in the 23 categories will be announced in two batches.
As per the Indian Express, the first batch of nominations will include Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Adapted Screenplay among other categories.
The second batch of announcements will include the Best Director and Best Picture announcements.
It needs to be seen how many nods Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' and Greta Gerwig's 'Barbie' manage to secure.
'Oppenheimer' has been dominating in the awards season. Earlier, Christopher Nolan had won Best Director at Golden Globes 2024 while Cillian Murphy won Best Actor for his portrayal of J Robert Oppenheimer in the film.
Malayalam film '2018' was India’s official entry for the 2024 Oscars. However, Tovino Thomas-starrer was not able to make it to the shortlist.
