Oscars 2024: As expected, the nomination list is dominated by Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer'.

The nominations for Oscars 2024 were announced on Tuesday. As expected, the nomination list is dominated by Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer'. Greta Gerwig's 'Barbie' has also landed nominations in multiple categories and films like 'Killers of the Flower Moon', and 'Poor Things' have also made their presence felt on the big stage. The nominations were announced by actors Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid.

Cillian Murphy has landed a nomination in the Best Actor category for his performance in 'Oppenheimer', while Emma Stone and Lily Gladstone have landed nods in Best Actress category for their performances in 'Poor Things' and 'Killers of the Flower Moon' respectively.

Christopher Nolan and Martin Scorsese have scored nominations in the Best Director category for 'Oppenheimer' and 'Killers of the Flower Moon'.

Films like 'American Fiction', 'Oppenheimer', 'Killers of the Flower Moon', 'Anatomy of a Fall', 'Barbie', 'The Holdovers', 'Maestro', 'Past Lives', 'The Zone Of Interest' and 'Poor Things' have been nominated in the Best Picture category. 

For the unversed, the nominations in the 23 categories will be announced in two batches. 

The first batch of nominations will include Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Adapted Screenplay among other categories.

The second batch of announcements will include the Best Director and Best Picture announcements. 

Oscars 2024 will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel for the fourth time, and the event will be held on March 10 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

In India, the ceremony will be broadcast during the early hours of March 11 due to the time difference.
