'RRR' actor Ray Stevenson has died aged 58.

'RRR' actor Ray Stevenson has died aged 58. For the unversed, Ray Stevenson played the role of British Governor Scott Buxton in 'RRR' which was directed by SS Rajamouli. The actor is also famous for playing the role of an Asgardian warrior in the 'Thor' films. The official handle of 'RRR' confirmed the news of Stevenson's death on Twitter. "He was 56 years old when we were shooting this difficult scene but he did not hesitate while performing this stunt. 
We will forever cherish having you on the sets of #RRR, Ray Stevenson. Gone too soon," the official handle of 'RRR' tweeted.

'RRR' director SS Rajamouli also condoled the demise, and he shared a long note on Twitter.

“Shocking... Just can't believe this news. Ray brought in so much energy and vibrancy with him to the sets. It was infectious. Working with him was pure joy. My prayers are with his family. May his soul rest in peace," tweeted SS Rajamouli. 

Meanwhile, 'RRR' actor Jr NTR tweeted: "Shocked to hear about Ray Stevenson's passing. Gone too soon. It was a great experience working with him. May his soul rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and dear ones during this difficult time."

As per Deadline, Ray Stevenson was born on May 25, 1964 in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.

He had begun his screen career in the 1990s. His first big role was opposite Helena Bonham Carter and Kenneth Branagh in Paul Greengrass' 1998 drama 'The Theory of Flight'.

He also portrayed the role of Dagonet in 2004-film 'King Arthur'.

Ray Stevenson also played the character of Ukrainian mobster Isaak Sirko in the seventh season of American drama 'Dexter'.
