Selena Gomez Finally Dropping New Music, Says It’s “Perfect For End Of Summer” As She Announces Release Date
Selena Gomez recently announced she's dropping a new song titled ‘Single Soon’, noting that it's perfect for the end of summer.
Selena Gomez, who recently returned with the third season of ‘Only Murders In The Building’, is soon going to drop a new song. The news surely comes as a pleasant surprise for her fans, who call themselves ‘Selenators’. It has been quite some time since Selena Gomez released original music as she has been occupied with her role on ‘Only Murders In The Building’ and other film ventures. Recently, Selena Gomez confirmed her new album is in the works and announced the release of a song titled ‘Single Soon’, set to arrive on August 25 via Interscope Records.
Selena Gomez took to her Instagram account and announced the new song’s name and release date. “Y’all have been asking for new music for a while. Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer. SINGLE SOON. August 25th. Presave it now," Gomez wrote on Instagram alongside the single artwork.

According to Variety, Selena Gomez is said to be working on her new album, her fourth and the follow-up to 2020’s ‘Rare’ but “she wanted to give her fans a fun end of the summer song to enjoy as they’ve been patiently waiting for new music.”
‘Single Soon’, produced by Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat, comes on the heels of Selena Gomez’s hit song ‘Calm Down’ with Rema, which reached the No.1 on Billboard’s Global chart.
Back in February 2023, Selena Gomez told Vanity Fair that her new songs would be upbeat and honest.
“The music I’m doing right now is about real things that I’m walking through. It’s really powerful, strong, very pop. The theme generally is freedom — freedom from relationships, freedom from the darkness,” she told Vanity Fair.
She added, "If I had my way, I would probably write ballads my whole life, but I want to produce music that will make people smile."
The last single Selena Gomez released was nearly a year ago with ‘My Mind & Me’, a song that she shared alongside her documentary ‘Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me’.
Meanwhile, she can be currently be seen in ‘Only Murders In the Building’ season 3, which began streaming on Hulu on August 8.
