Spanish actor Gabriel Guevara, who is known for his role in 'My Fault', has been arrested on the charges of alleged sexual assault, reported Variety. The actor has been arrested during the ongoing Venice Film Festival. The 22-year-old was meant to receive an award on the sidelines of the festival. In the latest entertainment news, Guevara had an international warrant out on him for alleged sexual assault in France. The arrest finally took place on the Lido. The Venice court of appeals will now have to rule on Guevara’s case before he can be extradited, reported Variety.

“Following the news articles which have been emerging on various websites, regarding the Spanish actor Gabriel Guevara being arrested in Venice, the Biennale hereby clarifies that his presence in Venice was not linked to any events or productions related to the 80th Venice International Film Festival," stated an official statement.

Guevara had made his debut on the Spanish adaptation of the Nordic teen series 'Skam', and he then starred in the Paramount+ series 'Bosé'.

His big break came through Amazon’s 'My Fault'. His other credits include the Spanish series 'How to Screw It All Up' and 'You’re Nothing Special'.

His biggest role to date has been in the 2023 Prime Video romance film, 'My Fault'. In the project, the actor played the role of Nick Leister, who ends up being involved in the dangerous street racing scene, and later begins an illicit romance with his stepsister, Noah, played by Nicole Wallace.

According to Amazon Prime Video, 'My Fault' attained the highest opening three-day viewership figures of any non-English local original film in the history of the service after its release in 2023.
