Watch: Tabu Steals The Show In 'Dune: Prophecy' Teaser
Dune: Prophecy's second teaser has been released, and we have finally gotten the first look at Tabu's character.
The second teaser for the much-awaited series 'Dune: Prophecy' has been released. The 1-minute-10-second long teaser of the HBO original has finally unveiled Tabu's first look in the series, and it is safe to say, that our excitement has increased by multiple folds. For the unversed, Tabu is essaying the role of Sister Francesca in the series, which happens to expand on the 'Dune' film universe.
The 'Dune: Prophecy' series will be focusing on the Bene Gesserit. The teaser shows how the Bene Gesserit trains their sisters to exert power and have complete control over their minds.
In the teaser, Tabu can be seen dressed in black, with a cape on her back, standing with her arms folded, and staring straight into the camera.

As per Variety, Tabu's character is described as, “Strong, intelligent, and alluring, Sister Francesca leaves a lasting impression in her wake. Once a great love of the Emperor, her return to the palace strains the balance of power in the capital.”
The official synopsis of the show states, “Set within the expansive universe of ‘Dune,’ created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, ‘Dune: Prophecy’ follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit.”
Apart from Tabu, the series will also star Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Johdi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, and Shalom Brune-Franklin.
Alison Schapker will be serving as showrunner and executive producer. Diane Ademu-John has co-developed the series and he also serves as executive producer.
For the unversed, Tabu is one of the most versatile Indian actresses working currently. She has won the National Film Award for Best Actress twice for 'Maachis' and 'Chandni Bar'. She is also known for films like 'Haider', 'Maqbool', and 'Andhadhun'.
She has also appeared in Hollywood projects like 'Life Of Pi', 'The Namesake' and 'A Suitable Boy'.
For the unversed, two ‘Dune’ films have already released. Collectively, the two movies, starring Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya, have grossed over USD 1.1 billion to date. A third film is also in the works.
