The second rape trial of Danny Masterson has begun and the prosecutors have chosen a more aggressive approach, as they have repeatedly told the jury that they will be presenting evidence proving that 'The 70's Show' star drugged women before forcibly raping them, reported Variety. “The evidence will show they were drugged,” Los Angeles deputy district attorney Reinhold Mueller said in his opening statement on Monday, speaking of four women who will be testifying against Masterson.
Mueller also said that the four women witnessed symptoms like “lightheadedness, loss of vision, loss of motor skills, loss of strength, inability to control their body, vaginal pain, anal pain. These symptoms occurred after the defendant had given them an alcoholic beverage, as per Variety.
For the unversed, a mistrial was declared on the same matter after a hung jury last year.
In Mueller's opening statement, he claimed that Masterson anally raped many of the women who will be testifying.
“When she awoke in bed, she was confused, she was disoriented, she was in a lot of pain. … She asked, ‘What happened last night?’ … He laughed at her and said, ‘Oh, I had sex with you there.’ She questioned him if she was unconscious. He said ‘yes,’ that she was unconscious the whole time," said Mueller.
On Monday, the defense did not deny whether Masterson drugged the women, but the attorney noted to the jury that the actor faces rape charges, not charges of drugging women.

In he is convicted on all three charges, he is facing 45 years in prison.
