Tom Holland has said that he does not like Hollywood, although he does like making movies.

Tom Holland gained a massive fan following after featuring in movies like ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’, ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, ‘Uncharted’, and ‘The Devil All The Time’. While he loves making movies, he doesn’t like the entertainment industry. During an appearance on an episode of ‘The Jay Shetty Podcast’, Tom Holland opened up about being an actor in Hollywood, revealing that the entertainment business “scares” him. During his podcast appearance, Tom Holland also addressed his decision to give up drinking.

Tom Holland told host Jay Shetty, “I’ve been really good at keeping in touch with my friends, keeping my family close, listening to the lessons, not getting caught up in the Hollywood hype. I really am a massive fan of making movies but I really do not like Hollywood.”

He added, "It is not for me. The business really scares me. I understand I am a part of that business and I enjoy my kind of interactions with it, but that being said, I am always looking for ways to remove myself from it, to kind of just live as normal a life as possible."

Tom Holland further said that he tries to focus on things that make him happy like his family, his friends, his carpentry, his golf and the charity that his mom runs. He added, “That is the stuff that makes me really happy and that’s the stuff that I should protect.”

He added, “So I do try to keep as removed from it as possible — you’ll never see me at an award show that I don’t have to be at. I’m never going to a red carpet event that I’m not in the film of. I don’t want the attention when I don’t need it."

The actor, who also stays in the limelight for dating his ‘Spider-Man’ co-star Zendaya, described his romantic relationship with the actress as "the thing I keep most sacred," noting that he and Zendaya "both feel very strongly that keeping their relationship private is the heathiest way to move on as a couple."

Tom Holland opened up about the entertainment business after announcing a few weeks earlier that he is taking a break from acting after making the Apple TV+ series, ‘The Crowded Room’.

In the web show, he plays a character which is loosely based on Billy Milligan, a US man who claimed to have 24 alternate personalities.
