Kanye West Announces Plan To Run For 2024 US Presidential Elections
Kanye West, who has legally changed his name to Ye, has announced his intention to run for the US presidential post in 2024.
Kanye West, the famous rapper and fashion designer, has announced that he plans to run for US president in 2024. The artist, who has been embroiled in several controversies since parting ways with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, posted a swirling symbol on his Twitter account with "Ye" and the number 24. As per reports, this number signifies 2024, which happens to be the year of the next US President elections.

Kanye West then also posted a video of himself, in which he spoke about a meeting with former US President Donald Trump in Florida.
The rapper later deleted the video.
"I think the thing that Trump was most perturbed about me asking him to be my vice president," Kanye West said in the since-deleted video.
"Trump started basically screaming at me at the table, telling me I'm going to lose. I'm like, hold on Trump, you're talking to Ye," he stated further.
Kanye West had run for the post of US President in 2020, but he got very few votes.
Last month, mega sportswear brand Adidas broke ties with Kanye West after the star passed anti-Semitic comments.
West and Adidas had a major collaboration, in which the brand developed its successful "Yeezy" line of clothing.
The rapper is no stranger to controversies, and he had also faced backlash after attending Paris Fashion Week in which he wore a T-shirt, which read: ‘White Lives Matter’. This phrase has been used by white supremacists, who began using it as a response to the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement.
