Kim Kardashian Buys Princess Diana’s Iconic Amethyst Cross Pendant For This Whooping Price: Report
Kim Kardashian has reportedly purchased the iconic diamond-encrusted amethyst Attallah cross pendant, worn by the late Princess Diana on several occasions. Can you guess how much she paid for it?
American reality TV star Kim Kardashian has added a royal piece of jewellery to her collection! ‘The Kardashians’ star is now the proud owner of the diamond-encrusted amethyst Attallah cross pendant, famously worn by the late Princess Diana on several occasions. As per People Magazine, Kim Kardashian purchased the iconic pendant at Sotheby's annual Royal and Noble auction on Wednesday. The jewellery item was sold for USD 197,453 and four bidders competed for the pendant which was ultimately snagged by Kim.
The stunning jewellery piece features square-cut amethysts accented by circular-cut diamonds weighing in at 5.25 carats.

According to Sotheby's, the piece was made in the 1920s by British jeweller Garrard. The Instagram post also revealed the history and more behind the iconic pendant.
Sources told People Magazine that Kim Kardashian feels “honoured” to own the iconic pendant worn by the late princess. The cross pendant will be added to Kim’s collection of jewellery, consisting of pieces that were once worn or owned by strong, iconic women who have inspired the reality TV star.
The late Princess of Wales had worn the pendant on several occasions, the most notable being Birthright's 1987 London charity gala supporting their humanitarian work for those in pregnancy and childbirth.
Coming back to Kim Kardashian, she made headlines when she attended the Met Gala 2022 in a dress previously worn by Marilyn Monroe.
Kim went to great lengths to embody the Hollywood icon, bleaching her hair platinum blonde and following a no-carb, no-sugar diet to fit into the dress. However, she received intense backlash for her weight loss and for wearing the delicate dress.
Kim Kardashian had claimed that she didn’t damage the gown and returned it in perfect condition. The Ripley’s Believe It or Not museum, which loaned her the garment, later confirmed the dress wasn’t harmed.
