The official trailer for Jennifer Lopez-starrer 'The Mother' has been unveiled. The new Hollywood movie seems to be a slick action movie and in this Netflix original film, Jennifer Lopez would don the hat of a killer and a mother. 'The Mother' is all set to release on the streaming platform this Mother's Day weekend. In the recently-released trailer, we can see Jennifer Lopez starring as a former killer who somehow leaves her old life to protect her 12-year-old daughter.
The latest Hollywood movie trailer then reveals how the FBI managed to cut a deal with Lopez after several agents were killed. Some seconds into the trailer, it is revealed that Jennifer Lopez's daughter is kidnapped many years later and hence her character needs to come out of hiding and re-enter her old life in order to save the daughter.

The new Hollywood movie trailer also showcases how Jennifer Lopez's character tortures, shoots and stabs the kidnappers' men. She also manages to teach her daughter how to survive when there is danger.
“I’m a killer, but I’m also a mother,” says Lopez at one point in the trailer.
'The Mother' has an ensemble cast with the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Joseph Fiennes, Lucy Paez, Omari Hardwick, Paul Raci and Gael Garcia Bernal.
The official synopsis of 'The Mother' trailer reads: "A deadly female assassin comes out of hiding to protect the daughter that she gave up years before, while on the run from dangerous men.”
Misha Green, Andrea Berloff and Peter Craig have written the screenplay for the film. The producers are -- Jennifer Lopez, Green, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, Roy Lee, Miri Yoon and Marc Evans.
'The Mother' will be releasing on Netflix on May 12.
