Lisa Marie Presley Dies At 54, Octavia Spencer, John Travolta And Other Stars Pay Tribute
Celebrities are mourning the death of Lisa Marie Presley, who died after suffering a cardiac arrest. The only child of late iconic singer Elvis Presley was 54.
Gone too soon. The world woke up to the heartbreaking news of singer Lisa Marie Presley’s passing. The only child of rock legend Elvis Presley was 54 when she breathed her last. Several celebrities are mourning the loss of Lisa Marie Presley after she died following a cardiac arrest on Thursday. The singer’s mother, Priscilla Presley, broke the news to People Magazine, shortly after the singer was put on life support.
The singer’s friend and actor John Travolta shared an emotional post on his Instagram handle. Sharing a picture of Lisa Marie Presley, John Travolta wrote, "Lisa baby girl, I’m so sorry. I’ll miss you but I know I’ll see you again. My love and heart goes out to Riley, Priscilla, Harper and Finley."
Several other celebrities including Leah Remini, Octavia Spencer, Bette Midler and Pink shared tributes on their social media handles.

Confirming Lisa Marie Presley’s death, her mother, said in a statement to People Magazine, “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”
Lisa Marie Presley was first rushed to West Hills Hospital and Medical Center on January 12 after going into cardiac arrest. Despite EMTs finding a pulse, the singer was placed in a medically-induced coma just hours later.
Just two days prior to her death, the singer attended the Golden Globes 2023 alongside her mother in support of Baz Luhrmann’s biopic ‘Elvis’, which was nominated for three awards.
Actor Austin Butler, who portrayed the role of Elvis Presley and won in the category ‘Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture — Drama’, paid homage to both Lisa Marie and Priscilla.
Talking about Lisa Marie Presley, as a recording artist, she released three albums: 2003's 'To Whom It May Concern', 2005's 'So What' and 2012's 'Storm & Grace'.
Lisa Marie Presley was also a philanthropist, as she long oversaw the Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation, which extends support to homeless families and offers rent-free housing and daycare for children. She also worked with Oprah Winfrey's Angel Network to provide aid to those affected by Hurricane Katrina.
