Make Most Of The Roys! 'Succession' To End With Season 4
The biggest nightmare is coming true! 'Succession' to end run at HBO with Season 4.
We have some sad news for you! The uber-popular HBO show 'Succession' will be coming to an end with Season 4. The show's creator and executive producer Jesse Armstrong confirmed the development in an interview with the New Yorker. “It’s been a bit tortured, and I felt unexpectedly nervous about talking to you, because it’s all theoretical until this point, and I have tried to keep it theoretical for a whole number of reasons,” he said in the interview, as reported by Variety.
“Who knows about the psychological reasons, but the creative ones were that it felt really useful to not make the final, final decision for ages. You know, there’s a promise in the title of ‘Succession.’ I’ve never thought this could go on forever," he added.
Jesse Armstrong also said that he is feeling conflicted about ending 'Succession". Speaking further in the interview, he said: "I feel sad, and I have the-circus-has-left-town feeling that everyone gets who works on a production that’s good, and this one particularly so."
“I imagine I’ll be a little bit lonely, and wandering the streets of London in a funk, and wondering, What the fuck did I do? I’ll probably be calling you up in about six months asking if people are ready for a reboot," he added.
'Succession' had first premiered in 2018 and till date, three seasons have aired with the fourth premiering in March 2023.
The show which stars Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Matthew Macfadyen, Nicholas Braun and J. Smith-Cameron, enjoys a great fan following.
Makers of HBO’s Emmy-winning series ‘Succession’ had earlier finally unveiled the first teaser and release date for the upcoming fourth season.
Just over a year after ‘Succession’ season 3 ended with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger that promised to alter the Roy family dynamics forever, the all-new season is returning on March 26.
The exciting teaser, unveiled along with the premiere date, promises more family drama as the three Roy siblings form an alliance against their father, Logan Roy.
Over three seasons, ‘Succession’ has earned 48 Emmy nominations, and has won 13.
Created by Jesse Armstrong, the series follows media baron Logan Roy and his four children, Kendall, Shiv and Connor as the siblings compete to take over the family media company Waystar Royco.
