It looks like moviegoers will have to wait a little longer than expected to watch some of the highly-anticipated Marvel movies. Walt Disney Co, which owns Marvel Entertainment, has made a few significant changes to its release schedule, pushing back some major films. The Marvel movies which will now arrive later than expected include, ‘Blade’, ‘Deadpool 3’, ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, ‘Fantastic Four' and two untitled projects. Along with announcing the delays, the company also revealed the new release dates of the said movies.

‘Blade’, starring Oscar-winning actor Mahershala Ali, will now release on September 6, 2024. It was previously slated for a November 3, 2023 release.

Ryan Reynolds-starrer ‘Deadpool 3’ has moved from September 6, 2024 to November 8, 2024. The film will also mark the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, his first appearance as the character since the 2017 film ‘Logan’.

The ‘Fantastic Four’ reboot, which was slated to release on November 8, 2024, will now arrive in cinemas on February 14, 2025. Meanwhile, ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ has been postponed to May 1, 2026, from November 7, 2025.

And a little about the other two untitled Marvel projects now: One was set to release on February 14, 2025, but has since taken ‘Avengers: Secret Wars' former spot, on November 7, 2025.

The other untitled movie, which was slated to release on May 1, 2026, has been removed from Disney's schedule entirely.

But fret not, as 2023 is set to be a Marvel-packed year. ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ is slated for a February 17 release, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ will arrive in cinemas on May 5, and ‘The Marvels’ will hit theatres on July 28.

Apart from upcoming movie releases, Marvel will also keep viewers entertained with ‘Loki’ Season 2 and ‘Secret Invasion’ when they drop on Disney+ Hotstar next year.
