Rolling Stone UK recently named Lana Del Rey as the greatest songwriter of the 21st century and this has left the fans divided. It is important to mention that Rolling Stone UK did not come up with an exact list, however they did a feature piece on the 'Summertime Sadness' singer, and now fans are reacting particularly to the "greatest songwriter of the 21st century" bit. The media portal's description of the singer reads: "After a decade of feeling unexcited after the critical response to her debut album Born to Die, the greatest American songwriter of the 21st century is finally inspired about her career and life again."
"Rolling Stone UK meets her in LA to discuss the “overculture”, romance and her new album, Did You know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd," it added.
Pop Base then came out with a tweet, which read: "Rolling Stone UK names Lana Del Rey the greatest American songwriter of the 21st century."
The fans have been commenting on Pop Base's post ever since, and many of them named Taylor Swift or Beyonce as the greatest American songwriter of the 21st century.
