'Stranger Things' Animated Series Ordered At Netflix
'Stranger Things' fans, we have some good news! A new animated series has been ordered at Netflix.
'Stranger Things' is one of the most popular series to ever come out of Netflix, and looks like, the streaming platform wants to keep cashing in on the popularity of the show. Netflix is further building on the 'Stranger Things' franchise, as the OTT platform has now ordered an animated series set within the world of the show, reported Variety. As of now, all details about the show has been kept under wraps. Variety also reported that the show is being developed by Eric Robles and Flying Bark Productions.
For the unversed, Eric Robles and Flying Bark Productions have previously created popular animated shows like 'Random! Cartoons', 'Fanboy & Chum Chum' and 'Glitch Techs'.
“We’ve always dreamed of an animated ‘Stranger Things’ in the vein of the Saturday morning cartoons that we grew up loving, and to see this dream realized has been absolutely thrilling,” the Duffer brothers said in an official statement.
"We couldn’t be more blown away by what Eric Robles and his team have come up with — the scripts and artwork are incredible, and we can’t wait to share more with you! The adventure continues," they stated further in the statement.
'Stranger Things' is a show that speaks to the global audience and it is one of the most famous Netflix shows, ever since premiering in 2016.
The show was renewed for a fifth and final season in February 2022.
'Stranger Things' is a science fiction horror drama television series created by the Duffer Brothers. The Duffer Brothers also serve as showrunners and are executive producers along with Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen.
The series is set in the 1980s and it centers around the residents of the fictional small town of Hawkins, Indiana, as they are hampered by a hostile alternate dimension known as the Upside Down.
The ensemble cast includes Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Cara Buono, Matthew Modine, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, and Joe Keery.
