Hayden Panettiere's younger brother and actor Jansen Panettiere has died.

Gone too soon. The world woke up to the heartbreaking news of actor Jansen Panettiere’s passing. The actor and Hayden Panettiere’s brother was 28 when he breathed his last. He was known for his performances in ‘The Walking Dead’ and ‘Ice Age: The Meltdown’. Jansen Panettiere died on Sunday in New York City, according to Variety. Jansen’s cause of death is not known yet, with a source telling TMZ that no foul play was suspected. The cause of his death is currently being investigated. 

Born on September 25, 1994 in Palisades, New York, Jansen Panettiere earned his first credits as a voice actor before landing a 2002 appearance on Disney Channel's 'Even Stevens' starring as a young Shia LaBeouf. 

Jansen’s subsequent credits included 2003 appearances on the sitcom 'Hope & Faith' and the drama 'Third Watch'. The following year, he voiced the recurring character Periwinkle on 'Blue's Clues'.

As a voice actor, Jansen Panettiere’s credits included '100 Things To Do Before Middle School', 'Robots', 'Ice Age: The Meltdown', and 'The X's', among others. 

Jansen Panettiere appeared alongside his sister in the 2004 Disney Channel movie 'Tiger Cruise'. In 2015, he and Hayden collaborated again on ‘The Forger’, which also stars Josh Hutcherson, Lauren Bacall, Alfred Molina and Scott Eastwood.

His onscreen roles included Nickelodeon’s ‘The Last Day of Summer’, for which he earned a Young Artiste Award nomination, ‘The Babysitters’, ‘Major Crimes’, and in an episode of ‘The Walking Dead’ in 2019. 

Panettiere also starred in movies ‘The Perfect Game’, ‘8’, ‘Summer Forever’, ‘The Martial Arts Kid’ and ‘Del Playa’. 

In 2019, he co-starred in MTV's 'How High 2'. In 2022, he appeared in the holiday film ‘Love and Love Not’. 

The late actor was also an artist, and shared his paintings on Instagram and on his website. He produced bags, shoes and jackets featuring designs of his work too.

Jansen Panettiere is survived by his and Hayden's parents Lesley Vogel and Skip Panettiere.

The actor had a handful of projects in development at the time of his death, including ‘American Game’ and ‘Horse’.
