Anjali Chakra and Sufi Malik, a same sex couple based in the United States, have announced that they are parting ways with each other. For the unversed, the duo was soon to be married, however, in the latest trending news, they to their respective Instagram accounts to make the announcement. In her Instagram post, Sufi confirmed that she cheated on Chakra a few weeks before their wedding, and hence they are calling off their wedding.
"I made an unrecognisable mistake of betrayal by cheating on her a few weeks before our wedding. I've hurt her tremendously, beyond my understanding. I am owning up to my mistake and will continue to do so,” Sufi Malik said in her statement.

Anjali Chakra also shared a statement, announcing the split. Taking to Instagram, she wrote, "This may come as a shock, but our journey is now shifting. We have decided to call off our wedding and end our relationship due to infidelity committed by Sufi.”

For the unversed, Anjali Chakra is of Indian origin while Sufi Malik is of Pakistani-descent.
Anjali Chakra is a wedding planner, who co-runs a US-based events company called Behl Events. As per Hindustan Times, she started out at this company as an assistant and was soon promoted to Lead Event Consultant.
On the other hand, Sufi Malik is a fashion and lifestyle photographer.
The duo had gotten engaged in 2022. During her proposal at New York’s Empire State Building, Malik had gone down on her knees, offering a ring to Chakra.
As per several reports, the duo knew each other through Tumblr where they were mutuals for seven years. Later, they managed to connect on Instagram, with Chakra making the first move by sending Sufi a message.
In a blogpost, Chakra had also said that she has been battling depression for 11 years. Both of them are currently based in New York.
The couple also shared a YouTube channel on which they posted vlogs on their travels, opened up about their relationship, shared the proposal video, etc.
