Shubh's India Tour cancelled
Canada-based rapper and singer Shubh's India tour has been cancelled, BookMyShow confirmed on Wednesday.

Canada-based rapper and singer, Shubneet Singh's India tour has been cancelled, BookMyShow confirmed on Wednesday. The rapper is popularly known by his stage name 'Shubh', and he has been constantly criticised over his alleged support for Khalistan. In the latest entertainment news, BookMyShow in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, confirmed that the rapper's 'Still Rollin India Tour' has been officially cancelled.

"Singer Shubhneet Singh's Still Rollin Tour for India stands cancelled. To that end, BookMyShow has initiated a complete refund of the ticket amount for all consumers who had purchased tickets for the show. The refund will be reflected within 7-10 working days in the customer's source account of the original transaction," it said.

For the unversed, the ticket-booking app had faced boycott calls on social media for hosting a singer who is allegedly a Khalistani sympathiser. Ever since Tuesday, #UninstallBookMyShow has been trending on X.

It has been alleged that Shubh had shared a distorted map of India in March 2023 without Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and the North East, along with the caption “Pray for Punjab”.

This tour cancellation comes after the ongoing diplomatic row between India and Canada. Both the countries have expelled a senior diplomat.

It all started with the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleging Indian government's hand in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, reported NDTV.

For the unversed, Shubh is a famous Punjabi singer and rapper and he released his first breakout single 'We Rollin' in 2021, and as of now, the song has generated more than 201 million views on YouTube.

Earlier this year, he had announced his first-ever India tour, in which he was slated to perform in 10 different cities, including Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kolkata. BookMyShow was among the sponsors of the Indian tour.
