The iconic fight scene between Captain America and Thanos has now made its way to an exam paper at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Varanasi.
Marvel enjoys a massive fan base in India, and who can forget the euphoria around 'Avengers: Endgame' in 2019. The Hollywood film emerged as a huge blockbuster. One of the most iconic scenes from the superhero film, features Captain America (Chris Evans) and Thanos (Josh Brolin). In the latest entertainment news, after nearly a decade of its release, the film is now once again making waves in India. The iconic fight scene between Captain America and Thanos has now made its way to an exam paper at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Varanasi. The picture is now going viral on social media.
For the unversed, the question paper featured a 10-mark question, based on 'Avengers: Endgame's striking fight scene. The question asked students to apply engineering principles to the eventual scene where Captain America proves himself worthy of wielding Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir.
“What is the stress at the handle of the hammer, which has a diameter of 5/8 inch?”, the question paper read. The question further asked students to calculate the strains on Mjolnir’s hammerhead and handle as it moves from an elastic to a plastic zone after striking Thanos.
The students were also asked to calculate the “recovering strain and remaining plastic strain” when Captain America called the hammer back after the strike.

For the uninitiated, 'Avengers: Endgame' starred Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Tom Holland as Spiderman, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Josh Brolin as Thanos, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, and more.
The movie collected more than USD 1 billion at the worldwide box office.
