David Johnson, Ex-India Cricketer, Dies After Falling From Balcony
Former India cricketer David Johnson has died after falling from his balcony.
Former India cricketer David Johnson has died in a tragic incident after falling from his balcony in the fourth floor of his apartment in Bengaluru, as reported by Indian Express. The 52-year-old was rushed to a nearby hospital, but to no avail. As per Kothanur police officials, David Johnson is believed to have committed suicide. As per Indian Express, a UDR (unnatural death report) has been filed at the Kothanur police station. The body has been taken for postmortem to the Ambedkar Medical College Hospital.
The same report states that the former cricketer was unwell due to an alcohol addiction. He is now survived by his wife and three children.

As per Indian Express report, David Johnson was battling health issues for the past year, and was in and out of the hospital.
For the unversed, David Johnson had made his debut for India in the inaugural Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 1996. He also played a Test against South Africa in Durban in 1996.
David Johnson played 2 Tests for India, scoring 8 runs and taking three wickets.
The former pacer played 39 first-class games for Karnataka, taking 125 wickets and scoring 437 runs, with the highest-score being 101 not out.
He also played 33 List-A games, taking 41 wickets and scoring 118 runs.
