Watch: Diljit Dosanjh Gets Surprise Visit From Canadian PM Justin Trudeau At Sold-Out Concert
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited the sold-out Rogers Stadium to meet Punjabi sensation Diljit Dosanjh.
Diljit Dosanjh is one of the biggest singers the country has ever produced and the ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ actor is on his way to truly achieve global domination. Recently, Diljit Dosanjh performed on Jimmy Fallon’s ‘The Tonight Show’, and he also made history at the uber-popular music festival Coachella in 2023. And he refuses to stop! Diljit Dosanjh recently became the first Punjabi artist to fill up the Rogers Stadium in Toronto. Diljit Dosanjh shared snippets of his performance on Instagram Stories, and he was seen performing his hit tracks like ‘Born To Shine’ and ‘GOAT’.
He also shared a video, in which he can be seen receiving a surprise visit from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The Canadian Prime Minister was seen wearing a white shirt and brown trousers. Diljit, in a yellow striped shirt and a red turban, was delighted to meet the Canadian PM and they were seen sharing a hug.
Justin Trudeau also met Diljit’s team and crew as they made him and Diljit cheer the singer’s trademark line, “Punjabi aa gaye oye”.
“Diversity is CA’s strength. Prime Minister @justinpjtrudeau came to check out history in the making: we sold out the Rogers Centre,” Diljit wrote on Instagram.

Justin Trudeau also took to Instagram and shared a few pictures with Diljit Dosanjh, writing, “Stopped by the Rogers Centre to wish @diljitdosanjh good luck before his show. Canada is a great country — one where a guy from Punjab can make history and sell out stadiums. Diversity isn’t just our strength. It’s a super power.”

Diljit Dosanjh was last seen in the Punjabi film ‘Jatt & Juliet 3’, alongside Neeru Bajwa. The new Punjabi movie minted Rs 1.50 crore on Sunday, the 18th day of its release. The total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 34.86 crore.
Speaking about ‘Jatt & Juliet 3’ with Hindustan Times, Diljit Dosanjh said, “I am determined to do one Punjabi film, and an album every year. That's something substantial for me. I will continue to do everything else, but would never disconnect from Punjab.”
Talking about how he manifested making an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show’, the actor said, “We are living in a dream. There is nothing outside its realm. And that’s something, which should drive everyone to dream and aspire big.”
Diljit Dosanjh was also seen in Hindi films 'Crew' and 'Amar Singh Chamkila' in 2024. The latter was directed by Imtiaz Ali, and Diljit gained immense appreciation for his performance.
