The actress gained more prominence after participating in the Salman Khan-hosted show ‘Bigg Boss 16’. Talking about Tina Datta, she began her career as a child artist in a Bengali tv show called ‘Sister Nivedita’ at the age of five.
She made her film debut the next year in the Bengali movie ‘Pita Maata Santan’. She has been part of several other Bengali and Hindi films like ‘Chokher Bali’, ‘Chirodini Tumi Je Amar’, and ‘Parineeta’, where she played the younger version of Vidya Balan.
She got her breakthrough after she bagged the role of Iccha in ‘Uttaran’, which became one of the longest-running television shows.
She also participated in the stunt-based reality TV show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 7’, hosted by Rohit Shetty.
Tina Datta will next be seen in Sony TV's new show ‘Hum Rahe Na Rahe Hum’ opposite Jay Bhanushali.
The show has been written by Sutapa Sikdar, late actor Irrfan’s wife, and produced by Swastik Productions. Also starring Abhaas Mehta and Prerna Wanvari, it will premiere on April 10 this year.
