Ever since 'Bigg Boss 17' hosted by Salman Khan, started airing in October 2023, fans were expecting to see popular TV actress Ankita Lokhande walking away with the trophy. Worst case scenario, fans were expecting to see Ankita Lokhande at least finishing in the top two. However, everyone was left shocked during the grand finale as Ankita Lokhande was the second finalist to be evicted from the show after Arun Mashettey, and hence she eventually came fourth. Even host Salman Khan expressed his shock after seeing Ankita not walking away with the trophy.
In the latest entertainment news, Ankita Lokhande has finally reacted to not winning 'Bigg Boss 17', and she also opened up on what she felt after seeing Munawar Faruqui win the trophy.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Ankita Lokhande said, "I was shocked. I was not really upset with the whole thing, but I was shocked. You know that people are out there supporting you; people love you. Thoda sa shocking laga that, but I am okay with that. I am sure so jeeta hai wo deserving hai, unke bahar itne followers hai.”
"There are people out there jo Munawar ko itna pyaar karta hain. Munawar jeeta hain toh koi baat nahi lekin mehnat hum saab ne kii hain. It’s part of the game," she added.

When asked whether she is in touch with Munawar Faruqui, Ankita Lokhande replied, "Yes, I am in touch. Wo abhi apne success ko enjoy kar raha hain."
For the unversed, stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui took home the ‘Bigg Boss 17’ winner’s trophy. As soon as he was announced as the winner, several videos of Ankita Lokhande looking visibly upset and angry surfaced on social media.
After Ankita Lokhande’s eviction from the 'Bigg Boss 17' house, even host Salman Khan was left “shocked”. “I am shocked kyunki mujhe aisa laga tha ki aap winner tak to aa hi jaogi,” Salman Khan had told Ankita Lokhande.
“Pichle season bhi huya tha, ki mujhe laga tha ki Priyanka Chahar Choudhary jeetegi. Aur jo mujhe reaction milta raha hai, ki Ankita would be the Bigg Boss winner this time. I am shocked that you are not, pata nahi aisa kya ho gaya hai ki aap bahar aa gayi hain. There are three contestants inside the house, infact the whole team is shocked,” he added.
For the unversed, Ankita Lokhande, Munawar Faruqui, Arun Mashettey, Mannara Chopra and Abhishek Kumar were the top five contestants who battled it out in the finale to win the show.
