'Bigg Boss 17': A “shocked” Salman Khan gave his take on Ankita Lokhande not winning the show.
Ever since 'Bigg Boss' started airing in October 2023, many fans were expecting to see 'Pavitra Rishta' actress Ankita Lokhande walking away with the trophy. Their belief was further strengthened when Ankita Lokhande was able to reach the grand finale of the Salman Khan-hosted show. However, fans of the actress were in for a shock after Ankita got out of the finale race pretty early, and she eventually came fourth.
After Ankita Lokhande's eviction on the finale night, even host Salman Khan said he is "shocked" to see the actress not winning the show.
"I am shocked kyunki mujhe aisa laga tha ki aap winner tak to aa hi jaogi," said Salman Khan.
"Thank you sir, aapne itna keh diya, mere liye kaafi hai," replied Ankita.

"Pichle season bhi huya tha, ki mujhe laga tha ki Priyanka Chahar Choudhary jeetegi. Aur jo mujhe reaction milta raha hai, ki Ankita would be the Bigg Boss winner this time. I am shocked that you are not, pata nahi aisa kya ho gaya hai ki aap bahar aa gayi hain. There are three contestants inside the house, infact the whole team is shocked," said Salman Khan.
To this, Ankita said, "Main hamesha bolti hu ki main television ki beti hoon. Ye meri karm bhumi hai, yaha pe mere saath hua jo hua hai, wo meri bhalai ke liye hai. Maine bahut ups and downs dekhe hai, but aaj sach mein isse kuch farak nahi pad raha."
After the 'Bigg Boss 17 finale', Ankita Lokhande was seen leaving the sets of the show with her mother. In the video, Ankita Lokhande can be seen visibly dejected.

Stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui was declared as the winner of 'Bigg Boss 17' on Sunday and the show which began in October 2023 finally came to an end.
For the unversed, Ankita Lokhande, Munawar Faruqui, Arun Mashettey, Mannara Chopra and Abhishek Kumar were the five finalists who battled it out in the finale to win the show.
As a result of winning the show, Munawar Faruqui walked away with the 'Bigg Boss 17' trophy, a brand new car and a massive cash prize of Rs 50 lakh.
Abhishek Kumar ended as the runner-up, while actress Mannara Chopra came third. Arun Mashettey was the first contestant to be evicted on the finale night, and hence he finished at the fifth spot.
