‘Bigg Boss OTT’ winner Divya Agarwal has hit back at fans of her former beau Varun Sood after announcing her engagement to Apurva Padgaonkar.
Divya Agarwal, known for shows like ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ and ‘Splitsvilla 10’, slammed trolls who attacked her for allegedly dumping Varun Sood and announcing her engagement to businessman Apurva Padgaonkar. The MTV ‘Ace Of Space’ winner celebrated her birthday a few days back, where Apurva Padgaonkar popped the big question in a surprise proposal. This did not go down well with a section of people who began trolling Divya Agarwal, calling her a “gold digger”.
Divya Agarwal, in an interaction with ETimes, spoke about how people reacted to her engagement announcement and said, “I would not want to comment on his reaction, but I would expect some sensitivity from fans regarding my engagement. I have been in relationships and have always been open about it, but that should not mean that netizens can say anything on my personal life.”
She added, “I am engaged now and they should show some sensitivity and not talk about my past relationship. I am in a very happy space and look forward to my life with Apurva.”
A day after Divya Agarwal’s engagement was announced, Varun Sood took to Twitter and seemingly reacted to the news by sharing a cryptic emoji. The ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ actor used an emoji that conveys feelings of contentment, calm, peace, and relief.

Following Varun Sood’s post, netizens flooded social media and deciphered that it was his reaction to Divya’s engagement and began trolling the reality show star. Some users even questioned whether she ever loved Varun.
According to Divya Agarwal, she and Apurva have known each other since 2015. The two dated for three years before they parted ways.
While Divya started dating Varun, she remained friends with Apurva. Divya and Varun broke up in March 2022.
