Watch: Hina Khan's Mother Breaks Down As Actress Cuts Hair Amid Cancer Treatment
Hina Khan shared a video in which her mother can be seen breaking down as the actress cut her hair amid the ongoing cancer treatment.
Indian actress Hina Khan recently announced her ongoing battle with stage three breast cancer. Hina Khan took to Instagram on Thursday morning to share another chapter from her ongoing battle with cancer. In the video, Hina Khan can be seen getting her hair chopped off. The clip begins with the actress sitting down in front of a mirror as she prepares herself for the next step. In the background, one can hear Hina Khan's mother breaking down. Hina Khan can be seen trying to calm down her mother.
Hina Khan's hairstylist then hands her the scissors so she can chop the first lock by herself. At the end of the video, Hina says, “I feel liberated.”
“You can hear my mother’s wailing voice in Kashmiri (blessing me) in the background as she prepared herself to witness something she never dared to imagine. Not all of us have the same tools at our disposal to manage heartbreaking emotions,” Hina Khan wrote as the caption.

Further in her post, Hina Khan said, “To all the beautiful people out there, especially women who are fighting the same battle, I know it’s hard, I know for most of us, our hair is the crown we never take off. But what if you’re facing a battle so tough that you have to lose your hair—your pride, your crown? If you want to win you’ve got to take some tough decisions.”
“And I choose to win. I have decided to give myself every chance possible to win this battle. I choose to let go of my beautiful hair before it starts falling off. I didn’t want to endure this mental breakdown for weeks. So, I choose to let go of my crown because I’ve realized my real crown is my COURAGE, my STRENGTH, and the love I have for myself. Aur haan. I have decided to use my own hair to make a nice Wig for this phase,” she added.
The post further read, “Hair will grow back, eyebrows will return, scars will fade, but the spirit must remains whole.I am recording my story, and my journey, to ensure that my efforts to embrace myself reach everyone out there. If my story can make even one day of this heartwarming yet excruciating experience better for someone, it’s worth it.”

For the unversed, Hina Khan revealed her cancer diagnosis in an Instagram post last week. A part from Hina Khan's statement read, “Hello everyone, To address the recent rumours, I want to share some important news with all the Hinaholics and everyone who loves and cares for me. I have been diagnosed with Stage Three breast cancer.”
Hina Khan became a household name after she featured as Akshara in the hit TV show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. She also participated in reality shows like ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi season 8’ and ‘Bigg Boss 11’.
The Indian actress was also seen in a brief appearance in the popular TV show ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ and then ‘Naagin 5’.
She recently made her debut in Punjabi films with ‘Shinda Shinda No Papa’. The film also starred Gippy Grewal. She was also seen in the Amazon miniTV series ‘Namacool’.
