“It’s A Change Of…”: Krushna Abhishek Confirms Return To ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, Reveals Host’s Reaction
Krushna Abhishek confirmed that he will return to ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. He also opened up about the show's host Kapil Sharma's reaction.
Krushna Abhishek, who had initially walked out of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, is all set to return to the show. In a new interview with Times of India, the comedian recently confirmed his comeback to the Indian comedy show along with revealing host Kapil Sharma’s reaction to his return. In the interview, Krushna Abhishek revealed that his decision followed after there was “a change of contract”. He also said that all the issues “including money” has been resolved.
Krushna Abhishek, who was known for his character Sapna on the show, quit ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ last year after agreement issues.
Confirming the news of his comeback to ‘TKSS’, Krushna Abhishek said, “It’s not a change of heart but a change of contract. The contract had several concerns, including money, but all issues have been resolved. The show and the channel are like family, and I am glad to be back.”
Krushna also said that his character Sapna will have a smashing return on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ and thanked the audience, who had been wanting to have him back on the show.
He added, “Sapna ki entry hogi badhiya tarah se. Ghar ka bhoola shaam ko ghar par laut kar aaye toh usko bhoola nahi kehte. Ye wohi wala hisaab hai. I share a long-standing relationship with the channel and the makers of the show. Woh relationship itna pure aur achha hai ki ussi ki wajah se main wapas aaya. I am also grateful to the audience who has been asking to bring me back on the show. I think the love of everyone and mine for those associated with the show has worked as a catalyst for my comeback.”
Krushna Abhishek shared that he received a warm welcome on the first day of the rehearsal at Kapil Sharma’s residence yesterday.
He told Times of India, “Kiku Sharda hugged me as soon as he saw me. I spoke with Archana ji on the phone, and she, too, was quite excited about my return. Kapil was also extremely happy and greeted me warmly. As I said in my previous interview, there is no rivalry or one-upmanship, and we sit together to work on our script, we are doing the same even now. Kapil has suggested jokes, as he wants me to give my best since Sapna is back.”
While it has been speculated that the ongoing season will end in June 2023, Kapil Sharma told TOI that nothing has been finalised yet.
He also mentioned a US tour according to which a decision would be taken about ‘TKSS 4’. Krushna Abhishek also talked about the tour and said, “The US tour is not finalised yet. However, I will be a part of it till the end of the road. I will also be a part of the tour hopefully.”
‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, a hit comedy talk show which features different celebrities visiting the sets to promote their projects, began in 2016. The show’s fourth season started airing from September last year, with Archana Puran Singh reprising her role as the guest judge.
