"Reality Of...": Manisha Rani Alleges Not Receiving Prize Money After Winning 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11'
'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' 11 winner Manisha Rani has revealed that she is yet to receive her winning amount of Rs 30 lakh.
Social media sensation and dancer Manisha Rani, who became a household name after featuring in the Salman Khan-hosted reality show ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’, was last seen in the dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11’. While Manisha Rani couldn’t win ‘BB OTT 2’, she went on to lift the winner’s trophy of the dance reality show’s latest season. However, Manisha Rani has revealed that she is yet to receive her winning amount of Rs 30 lakh, and when she eventually does receive it, she will only be getting 50 per cent of it.
The ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’ fame made this revelation during her latest vlog with content creator Mahesh Keshwala aka Thugesh. When Manisha Rani made this revelation, the content creator said, "This is the reality of reality shows."
“The Jhalak winning amount still hasn’t come, and they will deduct half of it. People think it’s raining money in my life, but that only happens with those who have a Crorepati boyfriend, but neither do I have a Crorepati nor a boyfriend in my life," Manisha Rani said on the vlog, as per The Indian Express.
Earlier, 'Bigg Boss 16' finalist and 'Bigg Boss Marathi' winner Shiv Thakare made headlines after he came forward to allege that he received only one-fourth of the winning amount.
Shiv Thakare said that despite winning 'Bigg Boss Marathi', he only got a quarter of the winning amount.
“When I came on Bigg Boss 16 a lot of people told me to take a permanent job with Bigg Boss. After winning Bigg Boss Marathi when I came to Hindi, I realised that they get paid a lot of money. I did get my Bigg Boss Marathi winning amount, but half of it was taken by the government, the winning amount was Rs 25 lakhs, but due to the other two finalists, Rs 8 lakhs was reduced. I was supposed to get Rs 17 lakhs, but I only received Rs 11.5 lakhs in my account," Shiv Thakare said on Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast.
"I didn’t know I was supposed to pay for the clothes to the stylist, I also had to pay for my parents’ flight. The makers never gave that. Later when I got Bigg Boss Hindi it changed my life. I started getting money that I never imagined," he added.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Manisha Rani is being rumoured to appear on 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 14'.
